Artist

Through the magic of art, every fish

can become a trophy fish.”

Being an accomplished artist who loves to fish has given me the opportunity to explore what I call “River Art.” Fishing and sculpting fish is a passion that has given me many happy memories. I recall a pretty little Brook Trout that took my Hare’s Ear Nymph on the upper Deschutes River. I eased it into the shallows, took a couple quick pictures, thanked him and wished him well as I released him back to deeper waters.

There was something special about that fish. The colors were beautiful and the spot pattern reminded me of musical notes on a sheet of music. I knew I had to sculpt it to capture its natural beauty and preserve a lasting memory of the brief encounter. No matter the size of a fish, I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of creating another trophy fish.
